Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch Mission to Earthphase: Everything You Need to Know

Product Description
This understated black watch has a unique feature: it combines the phases of the moon and the earth on the dial, both on a subdial at two o'clock. The double moon disc and mask allow for the observation of the celestial cycles, as in MoonSwatch: Mission to the Moonphase.
The earth phase indicator shows the movement of the earth as seen from the moon on the dial at ten o'clock. To distinguish it from the moon phases, the earth phase complication uses colors representing oceans, forests and deserts. The blue UV coating of the oceans, which can only be seen under ultraviolet light, adds a fantastic touch of color to the oceans.
The moon phase indicator shows how the moon rises when viewed from the earth and the earth phase indicator shows how the earth rises when viewed from the moon. The Earth and the Moon go through all phases in the same amount of time: 29.5 days. However, the cycles are reversed: at full moon, the Earth is the new moon; at new moon, the Earth is the full moon. This is why the Earth phase indicator rotates counterclockwise, opposite the direction of rotation of the Moon.
